The Power of Healing Words
When healing words are delivered or communicated with intention it is hard not to listen. This form of communication is often used by hypnotherapy, meditations, prayers, psalms, songs, poetry, mantras, books, movies and journals.
We are attracted to healing words. A simple thank you say with the fullest intention can shift a person’s mood from dark to light; or a simple statement of everything will be okay when things seem impossible can take the edge off a really bad day.
How To Use Healing Words
Wellness though healing words is totally possible. It is a shift from just talking to being present to how you think and behave. The best way to practice healing words is to practice on you. A good method to adopt is journaling to your inner spirit or child. It is different from just writing down what happened to you that day. This journal method teaches you how to be kind to your inner spirit with your healing words especially when life is overwhelming or disappointing.
How to journal with healing words
So lets say, you are having a very bad day and there is no one you can talk to or want to talk to. You know if you don’t get this crap off your chest, you will scream or worst, slump into feeling sorry for yourself.
Yank out a piece of paper and write down what’s a matter honey
- Let it rip, say all the things that are upsetting, hurtful and pissing you off until you can’t write anymore. Explore all the things that bother you to no end. Leave nothing out, it is an opportunity to get things off your chest.
- Acknowledge that your inner spirit or child is calling out for attention and nurturing. This is clearly an opportunity to use healing words.
This can be as simple as saying (or write in your journal)
-
I understand that you are upset, hurt and pissed off and I know that you are having a really bad day.
- Take responsibility to help your inner spirit (child) to feel safe and move past the upset
- I want you to know that I care and promise to look out for you, and promise to pay better attention to you so that you don’t continue to get hurt.
The importance is to understand that healing words are more than just spewing out niceties; and when delivered with intention we as human beings are capable of touching the core of our family, friends and relationships.
Also know it is never to late to share your healing words and be appreciated for making the effort. So be well and pass on a kind world now and then, especially to the person that counts the most which is yourself.
