Reiki Training Is Self Healing
Reiki is an old healing art dating back to the ancient Tibet, Egypt and Atlantis. Dr. Mikao Usui (1865-1926) developed this gentle healing art after meditating for 21 days on Mt. Kurama in Japan in the late 1800′s, and spread Reiki around the world. There are two main traditional branches of Reiki – traditional Japanese Reiki and Western Reiki. Many variations of Reiki have formed since it resurfaced since 1930.

Universal Life Energy
Reiki invokes Universal Life Force energy to unblock passages in the body and allow free flowing energy throughout, internally and externally. The Reiki practitioner uses a hands-on or healing hands approach to direct the Life Force energy. They will place their hands on or above the effected areas on the body and send focused energy to the problem area. There are 12-20 hand positions and a session is 45 to 90 minutes long. The recipient lies down or sits in a chair and falls into a deep relaxed state. Warm and tingling sensations are usually felt in the areas receiving the Universal Life Energy. In this relaxed state the body is able to release stress and tension, both known factors as the major root cause of disease and illness.
Becoming A Reiki Master
Becoming a Reiki Master requires deep commitment and dedication to understanding life processes, and being a spiritually attuned individual. Reiki training can take years or just a couple of days depending upon the Reiki Master. There are levels or degrees to learn before becoming a Reiki Master.
Level 1 – the history, hand positions and receiving attunements.
Level 2 – the inner being of the student, learns the symbols, deeper attunements and remote healing.
Level 3 – initiate training to become a Reiki Master and is able to perform the sacred ceremonial and attunement process on others.
Reiki Masters who would like to teach Reiki, will apprentice with a Reiki Teacher for as long as it takes to master all the concepts of Reiki.
